The West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development (CORAF/WECARD) has secured funding from the IDA and IBRD for the implementation of Multi-Donor Trust Funds (MDTF). These funds, coming in particular from the European Commission (EC) and from the Canadian Agency for International Development (CAID), are being used to finance the implementation of the Operational Plan of CORAF/WECARD in order to bring about sustainable improvement in productivity, competitiveness and markets within the National Agricultural Research Systems in West and Central Africa.
The Executive Secretariat of the West and Central African Council for Research and Agricultural Development (CORAF/WECARD) responsible for the implementation of these Multi-Donor Trust Funds intends to apply part of the proceeds of the MDTF funding to payment under the contract for the provision of consultancy services by an Individual Consultant (International).
The main objective of hiring an individual international consultant along with a team of subject matter experts is to prepare an Implementation Completion Report (ICR) using World Bank’s format and lead a team to do the Impact Evaluation Report for Multi-Donor Trust Fund.These reports will serve as the basis for CORAF/WECARD’s future project / program targeting in consideration of the experience gathered through implementation of MDTF Projects over the last 4½ years.
CORAF/WECARD now invites eligible applicants from the West and Central Africa region for the position mentioned above. Interested applicants may obtain detailed ToR and further information from the Executive Secretariat during normal office hours (08:30GMT to 17:30 GMT). TheIndividual Consultant will be selected using the selection of Individual Consultant (IC) method in accordance with the World Bank guidelines on “Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011.” The Consultant will be engaged for 120days.
