Environmental and Social Management Framework Plan (ESMFP) and Pest Management Plan (PMP) for Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Niger and Nigeria
In compliance with the World Bank’s environmental safety requirements the West and Central Africa Council for Agricultural Research and Development (CORAF/WECARD) in collaboration with relevant authorities in Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Niger and Nigeria has completed an Environmental and Social Management Framework Plan (ESMFP) as well as an Integrated Pest Management (IPMP) Plan for the above countries. The draft plans which were earlier sent to representatives of these countries were deliberated on by relevant stakeholders at a workshop held in Dakar, Senegal on February 22 and 23 2010. Both plans are hereby being disclosed in conformity with World Bank requirements for the implementation of the CORAF/WECARD Multi Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) and the West African Agricultural Productivity Programme (WAAPP).
