Research priorities on sustainable management of natural ressources in West and Central Africa validated. From 09th to 11th August 2010, in hotel Residence la Falaise of Douala, parteners and stakeholders of CORAF/WECARD validated the research priorities on sustainable management of Natural Ressources in West and Central Africa.
FARA 5th General Assembly: Dr Tiémoko YO, new Chair of FARA. Appointed Vice- Chair of the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), Dr Tiémoko YO, Director General of the National Center of Agronomic Research (CNRA) of Cote d’Ivoire is since 2008 a member of the Governing Board of CORAF/WECARD. In his first message to his peers of the African and International Scientific Community, the FARA new Chair invited everybody to work hard for the development of the African Agriculture.
FARA 5th General Assembly: CORAF / WECARD marks its imprint. Hosting the 5th General Assembly of FARA, the West and Central Africa sub-region did the best to succeed in the organization of the event but also took the opportunity to diversify its partnership
5th FARA General Assembly: Ouagadougou, capital of the agricultural research during a week. From 19th to 24th July 2010, the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa organized the 5th agricultural science week and its General Assembly in Ouagadougou. More than 800 stakeholders consisted experts of agricultural development, producers, researchers, scientific partners and development Partners, agricultural NGOs, Private Sector and Decision Makers met during a week to discuss on the central theme: the African agricultural innovation in a changing world.
From 21st to 23rd June 2010, the main stakeholders of the CORAF / WECARD met during a participative workshop on "the perspective and institutional lessons of the change". The participants also analyzed and informed the lessons learnt by the CORAF / WECARD of 2006- 2010 and proposed a sketch of strategies for the institutional change over the period to 2010 to 2016.
The 9th General Assembly of CORAF/WECARD. Actors and Partners of CORAF/WECARD met from 28 till 29 May 2010 in Cotonou for the 9th session of the General Assembly. The Participants examine the moral report of the Governing Board, the Annual Report of CORAF / WECARD from June 2008 to May 2010, statutory documents and to renewed the members of the Board.

They also analyzed lessons learnt by CORAF/WECARD from 2006 till 2010 and proposed a strategy for the change process for the period 2010-2016.
9th General Assembly of CORAF/WECARD. Actors and the partners of CORAF/WECARD met from 28th to 29th May 2010 in Cotonou for the 9th ordinary session of the General Assembly. During two days, the participants examined the moral report of the governing board, the annual report of CORAF/WECARD from June 2008 to May 2010, they adopt statutory documents and renewed members of the Governing board.
2nd science week of west and Central Africa. "Management of the postharvest system of plant, animal and aquaculture products for the improvement of the productivity, the competitiveness and the markets in West and Central Africa ". It is around this central theme that scientists of the sub-region and their partners exchanged from 24 to 27 May 2010 in Cotonou. During four days, participants made practical and innovative propositions for the reduction of postharvest constraints.
PPAAO/WAAPP. Actors and partners of the West and Africa Agricultural Productivity Program met on May 14th , 2010 in Dakar for the restitution of the mission outcomes the review of this program . As a conclusion of this consultation day, it is clear that PPAAO/WAAPP is well implemented in the first three countries (Senegal, Mali, and Ghana) and at the level of the regional coordination CORAF/WECARD.
