INRAB Presentation
Agricultural research is carried out in Benin by the National Institute of Agricultural Research of Benin (INRAB). Created by Decree No. 92-182 of 6 July 1992, INRAB to:
contribute to the development of national policy research in its fields of competence,
design, implement or enforce either its own initiative or at the request of government, public or private, national or international research programs of special interest or general interest in the agricultural sector,
ensure the transfer of research achievements in the direction of users,
ensure more generally all research activities contributing to the development of agricultural sciences and their application,
coordinate at the national level all activities relating to agricultural research,
contribute to training for agricultural research and development,
conduct studies and expertise in its field of action,
publish and disseminate the results of its work and more generally contribute to the development of scientific information.
To achieve its objectives, INRAB is organized into departments and agricultural research stations.
